J.O.O.N.A.S. and Robot Vacuum FAQ
Last updated · based on game version 1.0.4
J.O.O.N.A.S. costs $20,000 and needs a Capsule Catcher ($1,500). It roams the whole Moon, cleans the nearest dusty hex and launches full capsules to the nearest Catcher. Since version 1.0.4 it keeps working when you are far away. Robot Vacuums stay at their dock and clean a fixed area.

Questions players ask
Does J.O.O.N.A.S. clean when I'm far away?
Yes, as of version 1.0.4. Earlier versions had a bug where it stopped when you travelled far, which the developers flagged as a priority fix. If yours stops when you leave, make sure the game is updated.
Does it work when I'm offline?
One guide says it keeps working even when you are offline. We have not been able to confirm this from a second source yet, so treat it as unconfirmed.
Where do I buy it?
In the Services tab of the build menu. Budget at least $21,500: $20,000 for the robot and $1,500 for one Capsule Catcher.
Do I need one Catcher per robot?
No. One Catcher can serve several robots that are in range. A robot always aims for the nearest Catcher, so many robots can pile capsules into one Catcher. Spread Catchers out if one overflows while another sits empty.
Do I have to connect the Catcher to a belt?
No. Players report that a Catcher not connected to any belt sells the capsules automatically, which avoids belt jams completely. If you do connect it, run its output to a Depot intake.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Collects dust but never delivers | No Catcher in range | Place a Capsule Catcher closer, or add another |
| Stops when you travel away | Older game version | Update to 1.0.4 or later |
| Stuck behind rocks or buildings | Navigation is blocked | Move the robot or clear the path |
| Stopped working | Bin full or path blocked | Check the Catcher has space, then check for obstacles |
| One Catcher full, another empty | Robots target the nearest Catcher | Spread Catchers apart |
