Moon Sweepers Beginner Guide

Last updated · based on game version 1.0.4

Short version: clean near your base with the Toothbrush, buy the cheap Household Broom, take Market Contracts as your first economy upgrade, then build a Garage ($200) and buy a Push Sweeper ($300). Skip the Wide and Extra-Wide Brooms early.

1. Your first minutes

You start with a Toothbrush. Clean the hexes closest to your Depot first so every trip to drop off dust is short. Deliver dust to complete contracts, which are your main source of money early on.

2. Hand tools: buy cheap, skip the wide brooms

The hand tools, roughly in order:

Tool Early-game advice
Toothbrush Starting tool
Nail Brush Worth using early
Hand Brush Worth using early
Household Broom Cheap and a clear upgrade, buy it early
Wide Broom Skip early
Extra-Wide Broom Skip early

A common recommendation is to stick with the cheaper tools until you have cleared at least 15 sectors, and put your money into upgrades and vehicles instead of the wide brooms.

3. Your first economy upgrade: Market Contracts

Upgrades come in four groups:

Take Market Contracts first. Contracts are where early money comes from, so raising their payout speeds up everything else.

4. Garage and your first vehicle

Once you can afford it, build a Garage for $200. You need one before you can buy any vehicle. The entry vehicle is the Push Sweeper for $300, which holds 100 kg of dust.

Bigger vehicles hold much more but cost a lot more. See the full list on the prices page. Save the Mega Vacuum Rover ($6,000) for later in the game.

5. Next steps

When you are cleaning far away from the Depot, walking back gets slow. That is the moment to start automating with a Packager and conveyor belts. The automation guide shows how.
